Dr. Meg Heller is originally from nearby Moon Township and graduated from Moon Area High School. She grew up riding horses and participating in horse riding events. She went on to obtain her undergraduate degree in Equine Pre-Veterinary/Pre-Graduate studies with a minor in Biology from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, where she also participated in the school’s Hunt Seat team riding horses. She continued to veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. Ever since Dr. Meg started learning how to talk, she knew she wanted to care for animals as a veterinarian. Now that she’s a veterinarian, her main interests are ophthalmology, anesthesia, and soft tissue surgery. Unsurprisingly, her favorite animal is a horse, but she likes dogs and cats, too! The larger the breed of dog or cat the better in her eyes! Outside of work, she likes to bake, cook, spend time with family and friends, nap, and continue her favorite hobby, horseback riding!
